Therapy for Moms

Meet Kacey

Kacey Kaufman, LCSW-R, PMH-C, CPC, is a licensed psychotherapist with specialized training in postpartum depression and anxiety as well as women’s issues. She is also a certified life coach who has worked exclusively with mothers. Kacey began her 15+ year career working in community mental health and has worked as a therapist since that time with clients from all walks of life. It wasn’t until she uncovered her passion for working with women’s issues, particularly the challenges associated with motherhood, that she attended coaching school, mid-career.

Her coaching training catapulted her therapy skills in empowering and inspiring women to achieve their goals and to obtain life balance, fulfillment, and joy in motherhood. These skills combined with more traditional psychotherapy schools of thought have proven to be a successful combination in working to help women overcome anxiety and depression as well as other mental health challenges. She opened and has continued to run her coaching practice, Rad Mom Coach, since 2012.

Kacey has been described as uniquely empathic with an excellent ability to connect to others. Her clients frequently report that her warm and light-hearted demeanor makes it easy for them to open up about painful feelings.

One of Kacey’s biggest honors is the trust clients hold in her. Witnessing and being inspired by her clients' profound and personal growth over the years has been one of her life’s biggest joys.

What We Do Best

Kacey works with women to tap into who she is at her core. We aim to get clarity on what’s going wrong and how to fix it.

We uncover the answers to questions like,

  • What is it about life that makes you feel joyful and radiant?

  • What are you passionate about?

  • Where along the way has this been lost?

  • What keeps getting in your way?

  • What exactly do we need to do to get your joy and radiance back and show your children how AMAZING their mom truly is?

Using my training and 10+ years of experience working exclusively with mothers, I partner with you to uncover the ways of thinking that are holding you back and causing you pain or paralysis. We address unhealthy patterns which are often internal but are also seen in behaviors and relationships.

Kacey describes her work as Solution-Focused, but she knows when it is helpful for a client to talk about the past hurt and gain valuable insight that can help in the here-and-now. The goal is for her clients to leave sessions with a clear picture on what she wants for herself and a plan on how to get there.

What makes our practice unique?

Most of our clients are mothers. Moms need flexibility and we understand this. For this reason, all of our therapy visits are done via secure video chat or over the phone from the privacy of your own home. All you need is a quiet place where you are less likely to be disturbed.

Our practice is also flexible with how you pay. We offer traditional pay-by-session models but also offer therapy packages that can offer substantial savings.

Why do we offer a package model in addition to pay-by-session? In our experience, clients who pay upfront show a higher commitment and motivation; therefore, better outcomes due to this investment in their personal growth. It also allows less time to be spent on billing- time we can reinvest in supporting more mothers.

We are not in-network with health insurance but would be happy to provide an invoice to submit for out-of-network reimbursement.
